With the semester coming to a close the one question seems inevitable.
What did I learn?
Hmm.
Great question.
Wellllllllll.
1. I learned that carpooling with someone is great and is a perfect way for: Venting, sharing thoughts, sharing feelings, having fun. Thanks Cami!
2. I learned that Anthro is ridiculously easy.
3. I learned that upper division G.E's are easier than the lower division ones.
4. I learned that when old people complain in African societies, it is a sign of sanity and people respect them for that. (As opposed to our lovely society)
5. I found out how fun Intramural sports is and can't wait to do more flag football and even basketball next semester.
6. I learned how completely USELESS textbooks are. I have like 4 - 5, and didn't even glance at them at all. No homework or anything really merited it. Waste.
7. I learned... that I don't really need to try on my finals :) because of all the hard work I did this semester
It was actually a pretty stress-free semester and although break is coming, it isn't terribly needed. But I'll welcome it with open arms.

Rock Music
A good question was brought up in my Comm 233 class earlier tonight. Is Rock music essentially dead with all of the new subjects of music?
My answer. Yes. Why?
1 word my friends.
Nickelback.
They are the ultimate abomination of music. They could quite possibly be the worst band ever made. I cant believe they are defined as "rock" by radio stations, vh1, mtv or what have you. Even my sirius radio plays them on the Rock stations. Ugh.
Want proof?

That link is absolute proof to how trashy they are. Go ahead. Take a gander.
If you think they are good, more power to ya. But in this mans opinion they need to fade away into vanilla ice history

Random Thought on Professors
Why is it okay for professors to be terribly unprofessional? This isn't high school anymore, where learning is a privilege. No, this is college where learning is a right given to us either by our parents or ourselves because of having to pay for class.
With that said, why do we, as students, suffer from just plain bad professors. Shouldn't we have everything we need in order to pass our classes? Why is it that my professor can forget things and I have to make up for it?
Example.
This certain professor assigned us two projects to be due during finals week. No big deal. A lot of work. But whatever. She told us to have an idea of what we were going to film by the time we came back from Thanksgiving break. An idea.
Now, today, we have to turn in our final script that we plan to use for said projects. Im sorry. But 90% of us haven't filmed anything because you told us to have an idea of what we were going to do, and now we have to turn in a script? Don't worry. That's not that bad.
Apparently, she was supposed to give us an assignment to do over Thanksgiving break, but she forgot. So when she gave it to us on Monday, did she extend the deadline? Nope. Her other classes had a week and a half to do the assignment because she remembered to give it to them (which called for writing another script) while we had to turn in ours today. 2 days after finding out about it.
Cool right?
Also, I don't think she knows about Blackboard or email because our class was cancelled two times, in a row without any notification. Now that maybe cool for some people, but i have to wake up at 8 - 9 am in order to get to school on time for this class. If i had known, I could sleep in 2 - 3 more hours. Oh well.
All I know is, if I "forget" to do something at my job. I get in trouble, or maybe fired.
