NFL 1st Round Mock Draft 2013

Warning: Some comments may be offensive. So, don't be offended. Cool.
Thanks.

From Radio City Music Hall in New York, NY.
I present to you, the Officially Official 2013 1st Round Mock Draft of one time Champion
Will Soistman.
Please to enjoy.

  1. Kansas City Chiefs – Luke Joeckel Tackle from A&M.
Andy Reid knows a good fat guy when he sees one prompting Andy to say “Luke, I am your father.”
  2. Jacksonville Jaguars – Dion Jordan LB from Oregon.
Arguably the most athletic person in the draft, Dion will help the woeful Jags defense at least a little in the pass rush where they were God awful.
  3. Oakland Raiders – Shariff Floyd DT from Florida.
There's a new Sheriff Bust in town. Floyd will be a staple of the Raider defense for weeks until he gets arrested for impersonating a cop in a night club. Will be off the team in 2 years.
  4. Philadelphia Eagles – Eric Fisher Tackler from Central Michigan.
The Eagles need help for (Insert Qbs name) blindside or... frontside? Fish should be the grab here if he slips this far.
  5. Detroit Lions – Ezekiel Ansah DE from BYU.
Lions lose Cliff Avril and older pass rushers so they need to be replaced. Big Zeke can hopefully fill those shoes with his missionary ways.
  6. Cleveland Browns – Dee Milliner CB from Bama.
I want to put someone else here. But everyone and their mamas and papas are putting Milliner here. Let's hope Cleveland wants the Dee as much as some girls do.
  7. Arizona Cardinals – Lane Johnson Tackle from Oklahoma.
The Cards are have a bad line. Like, real bad. Lane is the third tackle taken in the top 10, but that doesn't mean he's a lane duck.
  8. Buffalo Bills – Ryan Nassib QB from Syracuse.
Too obvious to not happen right? Old Syracuse coach new Buffalo team. Old Syracuse Qb... new Buffalo team.
  9. New York Jets – Barkevious Mingo DE from LSU.
Rex doesn't need to add more Bark to his team. They need bite. Hopefully this Mingo kid can add some of that.
  10. Tennessee Titans – Jonathan Cooper Guard from UNC.
The Titans decide to Hang with Mr. Cooper during the draft. Maybe CJ2K will stop blaming the line now.
  11. San Diego Chargers – Chance Warmack Guard from Alabama.
The Chargers needs to start taking less risks and more Chances. The best teams have great offensive lines. The Chargers have the worst.
  12. Miami Dolphins – DJ Hayden CB Houston.
The Fish have spent a lot of money on offense now it's time to invest some on the defense. They need to replace Jake Long, but no one worth reaching for here. Hayden some say is the best corner in the draft.
  13. New York Jets – Tavon Austin WR West Virginia.
The Jets celebrated Earth day by recycling their garbage Qbs on the roster this past weekend. To try and fix this they draft Austin, who scored a 7 on his wonderlic and will score 6 on defenses.
  14. Carolina Panthers – Star Lotulelei DT Utah.
The Panthers can't stop anyone on defense and hopefully Starlite will be more of a Star for Ron Rivera.
  15. New Orleans Saints – Jarvis Jones UGA LB
After a horrible combine and not so great pro day, there is still one person who was impressed. Big ol Rob Ryan thinks Jarvis was plenty fast enough.
  16. St Louis Rams – Cordarrelle Patterson TENN WR
Might be the first big reach of the draft but the Rams have no one for Bradford to throw the ball to. Let's just hope Patterson can talk and play better than former Volunteer Robert Meachem.
  17. Pittsburgh Steelers – Alec Ogletree UGA LB.
The man with questions goes to the team that doesn’t tolerate that kinda bullstuffff. If only Kevin were this good.
  18. Dallas Cowboys – DJ Fluker Tackler ALA.
Fills a need, let’s hope he aint a Fluke like Doug Free. Risky move for Jerry’s world.
  19. New York Giants – Tyler Eifert TE ND.
The Giants haven’t had a big play TE since Shockey was doin the damn thing. Even Eli can force a smile with this pick.
  20. San Francisco 49ers Trade up to Bears – Desmond Trufant CB WASH.
The 49ers use the extra pick they received in Alex Smith trade to get a corner. They don’t need all these picks in the draft, they have very few roster spots available.
  21. Cincinnati Bengals – Justin Hunter WR TENN.
The second Volunteer WR to go in the draft certainly would do so to play alongside AJ Green. The Red Rocket has some much needed fuel.
  22. St Louis Rams – Kenny Vaccaro S TEX
The best safety in the class goes to THE Jason Sehorn university of learning.
  23. Minnesota Vikings – Sylvester Williams DT MIN.
Because why not, the Williams wall has been gone for a couple years but these hungry guys just don’t go away.
  24. Indianapolis Colts – Manti Te’o LB ND.
Oh manti manti manti. So hard to predict where you will stink in the NFL. At least the Colts use some version of the Cover who defense for you to pretend to cover people.
  25. Minnesota Vikings – Keenan Allen WR CAL.
Kel loves orange soda, Kennan loves purple drank. He will try to step into Percy’s shoes and fill them… but no one can touch Percy. No one.
  26. Greeen Bay Packers – Justin Pugh Tackle SYR.
No idea who that guy is. But hes a tackle. And he… Pughs… a hole?
  27. Houston Texans – Robert Woods WR USC.
2 years ago. Sure fire 1st wr taken. Somehow got lost in the wickets because of the poor year and injury. Texans should be hoppppin up and down.
  28. Denver Broncos – Xavier Rhodes CB FSU.
Champ Bailey will lose to father time… Eventually.
  29. New England Patriots – Margus Hunt DE SMU.
I just want this to be overrrrrr.
  30. Atlanta Falcons – Kyle Long Guard Ore.
    So closeeeee.
  31. Chicago Bears from 49ers – Menelik Watson Tackle FSU.
    Almost….
  32. Baltimore Ravens – Jonathan Jenkins DT UGA.
    3-4 NT. Hooray.

Doin It Live

Yup. This video is a classic. This was a saying between myself and some friends back in California for the longest time. "DO IT LIVE"

That's kind of what's been goin on lately in my life. So much to do and so many things to learn.

Especially when it comes to the ladies. Now, I normally don't disclose that part of my life on here because well, anyone can read it and know it's about me and certain people. But whatever, I'll do it live.

Since moving out here I have been living the single life (for the most part anyway. When I first came out to Connecticut, I was trying a long distance thing. Unfortunately, that is just wayyyyy too hard to do.)
SO, since then I have been living the single life. Which to say, I never really was good at doing. I have had people (see, Girls) call me a serial monogamist. I jump from relationship to relationship. And they were right. Well for the last year and a half, I have NOT done that (Having your own place, by yourself also helps.) It's been quite fun. It also is really fun to be in Connecticut, pretty much starting a new life with no one knowing who I am, pre judging or having previous knowledge of me. That has been a big plus in meeting girls out here. If they don't like me (or I don't like them) I move on and never really need to be concerned about having mutual friends with them and being concerned about seeing them again out in public. (Sidenote, there actually is ONE of those. Interesting story really, maybe some other time)

Anyway, bouncing around has been nothing short of amazing. Especially, ya know, the physical aspect of it. It's always a good time having those physical encounters and especially ones that are just soooooo good and worth it. There are few things in life better than a late night of bumping uglies and just going at it with no talk, or foreplay involved. Just go at it, get it, and be satisfied. Seriously. Especially when other said party is feeling the exact same way. No relationship, let's just be mature about it and live life in our 20's. We can't do this forever! This has happened on multiple occasions and I couldn't be happier [Of course being safe (;]

But what now, have things changed? Yeah I think so. I think I mayyyy have found someone I ACTUALLY like. Of course, I have a habit of rushing into things quickly, which my best friend Nicky likes to point out, and she's right. But because of that reason, I have been really taking my time in deciding these types of things. Playing the field if you will. And everyone I have seen knows that. Which also, is really mature of them. Knowing things aren't particularly serious, but still going with the flow with it. They are also "Doin it Live"

So that's an update.
I'm also going back home in a couple weeks, albeit for like 3 days, and am so so so so excited. It's just so hard to see everyone I want to see. I will do my best of course, even without a car!

Working Hard or Hardly Working?

So, I have two jobs.
One is at ESPN and the other Chili's.

I have been thinking about it a lot about how much I work and how little I have to enjoy my free time or even sleep. It's not that I don't have fun or find time to do things with friends. It's just that when I do, I have to keep in mind one of the jobs I will most likely be working the following morning or later that evening. I really am making the most of my time and I have heard before that there is no such thing as "Running out of time." People who say they ran out of time, or didn't have enough time are simply not using their time wisely. Granted, what I am doing with my time is not the smartest. I rarely sleep and it's not just because of work. It's a combination of living on my own in the east coast and wanting to find new things to do and new people to hang out with. I could sleep if I really wanted to. I could sleep alllll the hours I don't work. But then what would I be gaining? Nothing.

I think the main reason it works so well with me, and that I rarely complain about it is because both jobs are so different. SO different. One job is my career path, I need to take it somewhat seriously because I know this is going to impact me for the rest of my life. The other is something I have been doing since I was 16. Working in restaurants has always been like a second home for me. The goofing around, meeting new people, new/different experience every work day helps keep me sane.

Last week i worked 31 hours at Chili's and 29 hours at ESPN. That's 60 hours in one week of work, almost 9 hours each day. I know people who don't even work 60 hours a month and they complain about certain things in life or maybe not having enough time to do things. Mmhmmmm. Right. I have been working since I was 16 because my parents raised me that way. I thank them so much for that, raising me right. I can't even imagine what it would be like going a week/month/year without ever working! Maybe it doesn't show at first when you are 16,17,18 or what have you. But later on in life (like right now in the mid 20's) you are able to start noticing who has/hasn't worked much in their life. Daily habits, attitudes, work ethic, responsibility, etc. are radically different with those who have/haven't worked in their lives.

I am grateful to be one of the people who have done it all my life and have all the necessary attributes to hopefully be successful one day!

The Good Life

Life sucks.
Wait, what. The... The title of the blog. But it says.

Yes. The Good Life.
Because as much crap, garbage, unfairness (it's a word) and curve balls life throws at you, you only get one (YOLO oh Jesus.)

I've had multiple talks about this with friends and family and one day you're feeling awful about the current situation and think there is no way anything will get better. We've all been there, I've been there and we have friends who have been there. However, just as we have all been there, there is also someone else willing to be THERE for us at that time of #emoness. Everyone has problems in their lives and probably way worse than the ones you could be currently having. In all honesty I have those days every now and then, but I do my best to shake them off. Thankfully there are people who convince me otherwise and I push on through knowing the next day will be better. This is how everyone should be about life. There will always be something to make you happy, whether it's in an hour or a week. Don't let anything negative drag you down. Be an Optimism Prime, not a Negatron.

For example, I love the snow and I love the east coast. (Yeah... I live in Connecticut now.) However, the one one one thing I hated was driving in the snow. If I had known 2 years I would be living in a place with wet winters and snow, I would NOT have bought the sports car I bought. It is a disaster in the snow, I can't even get out of parking lots with it. So you know what I am doing? I woke up one day and said, "Eff it. I am gonna get a different car." So, I did. (Well it's not final yet, but within a day or two it should be.) And since I am such a good person when it comes to bills, credit, etc. my car was only worth about 2000 less than I owed which means my new payments on the car I am acquiring will see no change, or be less than what I was currently paying. And guess what. I AM HAPPY. For now. Am I going to miss that car? Heck yes I will. It's sexy, fast, amazing. But not convenient.

TL;DR (Too long; didn't read) version.
If you're not happy, do something about it.
Your friends/family will also be there for you.

Wow. Been. So. Long

A new goal.

Update this blog.

A lot.

It will be done.
